Been a long time

So it's been a long time since I have written anything. Sorry sorry. So I will try and recap my life for the past 2 months! Thanksgiving came it was loads of fun. Katharine was still here so we and 40 other volunteers celebrated at the PC house in Solwezi. It was a really good time. We had lots of chicken. I killed one of them with a big knife. It took 3 trys to get the job done but it all worked out in the end. Well it worked out for me but not for the poor chicken. Anyways we had a huge feast with garlic mashed potatoes, green bean cassarole, stuffing, pumpking pie, apple pie etc etc. It was amazing!!! Then I went back to site for a few weeks and a friend came up to visit for christmas. We had a good time celebrating christmas in my village together. We went to see the source of the zambezi on christmas eve day and then on christmas we went to christmas morning mass and then we ate lunch with the sisters and the priest. Then we had christmas dinner with my family and opened presents that night. They gave me and Maureen ours in the morning. They gave us matching chetenges so that was thoughtful. It was a really great christmas though. Then we went to Lusaka where we met up with a lot of other volunteers and enjoyed the coming of the new year together. Oh a bit of exciting new between thanksgiving and christmas. I went monkey hunting!!! Let me tell you 7 hours of walking in the bush at a ridiculously fast speed is not easy!!!! Luckily there were some fresh berries around and honey right from the comb so we had a snack and some water after 4 hours of ridiculously fast walking!!! Serioulsy ya'll we proably walked at least 40K! Anyways that's all for now outta time, love ya vic

Dear Victoria, please oh please do not take your Dad monkey hunting. I'm afraid the monkeys would get the best of him and he'd never make it out of the bush. But, I probably don't have to worry as you said you had to walk really, really fast and you know he has that famous 'mailman pace'. The monkeys would run laps around you and it would take 3 days to cover 40k. Love you bunches, Kay

Dear Victoria,

I sure wish Jack and I could come to see you. I have a stuffed monkey that I dearly love. How much more fun would a real monkey be? Guess what! I have been on TV twice! I made it to Gary England's HotShots twice. Once with my Christmas antlers and once with my stuffed lion. Jack sure is jealous. I'm blond, beautiful and a bundle of joy. Just like my sister Rachel. But, I'm getting side-tracked. Please take care of yourself and the monkeys. And I love chickens, used to have chickens as friends when Cousin Jim was my dad. So that Christmas Chicken Story made me kinda sad. Love ya, Skye the Golden Retriever.

Dear Sis- Jack here. Hunting monkeys is fine. Better yet, go on a squirrel hunt. That's my game. Or moles. Yeah, there's nothing like a good mole safari. And no fast walking. Love, Jack the PittLab
