The little things

So as I sat looking up at a dead spider hanging from my ceiling the other night I thought wow there are a lot of little things about my life here that you do not know. So this blog is dedicated to the little things/thoughts/actions that make up my daily life while here.
** So as I stated there is a dead spider hanging from my ceiling and it only has 7 legs. 2 are dangling and the rest of it is stuck up there. I suppose someday it will fall down. I look at it all of the time and think about wiping it off but I don't think I ever will.
**Im addicted to bread!!! Fritters, scones, whole loaves of bread I don't discriminate, i eat it all.
**I got a new rack in my bathing shelter and I feel like a new person when I bathe, It's fantastic!!!
**My dishes are tan with flowers on them.
**I love sweet potatoes, who knew?
**Another addiction, cassava shima, I have to eat it everynight for dinner. If I don't I go into withddrawls. To bad too much cassava causes bloating!!
**Since they have burned the bush next to my chimbushi I wonder if people can see me when I go to the restroom. I could hang up a bag to block the view, but then what would I wonder about!
**I heat up my water in the middle of the day even if it's really hot just because I can.
**I have hot tea for breakfast every morning. I often contemplate another cup but I think that would be pushing it. Any thoughts?
**I listen to Norah Jones every night when I go to bed.

Okay well that's all I think I will enlighten ya'll with today but know that i love ya'll and miss ya'll a lot! I'm doing so wonderful. Life is truly amazing and I am definitly enjoy the blessings of mine. Thanks for all the letters and packages you guys rock!!! Love ya vic

Me and the church staff have just finished our weekend at the Summit Leadership conference, and I can't wait to tell you all about it! But everyone loved it! Yea! Anyway, about that second cup of tea - go for it! If it makes you happy, why not?!!! I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you soon!! Peace and safety as you travel!

Hey Vic,
I absolutely cannot wait for you to come home and be in my wedding! WE are all SOOOO EXCITED about you getting here. I have your dress for the wedding and you are going to look gorgeous. Hey, about the spider...I would probably wipe it off because what if it falls in your open mouth in the middle of the night! ICK! As for the tea, I am not a tea drinker so I am probably not the one to ask. Love you lots and can't wait to see you. Enjoy your sweet potatoes. Rachel

It is good to hear from you. J.T. and Rosemary would have enjoyed your company eating sweet potatoes at meals. I am in the process of losing weight...14 pounds so far. I have joined the "lighthouse" workout center. It has a great pool for people who have arthristis. I intend 50 by Christmas.

Your mom is in such a dither...getting ready for a wedding and getting ready for a trip to Africa. She has designated areas in the house for each event. She has also lost weight for walking down the aisle and for walking in Africa!

Story and Will bought a new house and have a new labrador puppy. Mika and Jeremy had the 1st birthday for Abby Grace and we are all so proud that Gehrig is fianlly toilet trained.

What a great message. We can hardly wait for you to return to Ok. Your life sure is exciting, about the spider, take pictures and bring them home with you. I have always enjoyed meeting your room mates. Life here sure sounds boring, get up go to work come home tired and then do the same thing the rest of the week. Go to church on Sunday and play golf once or twice a week. Not to exciting, but at my age excitement isn't all it is cracked up to be. Life is very good and I'm truly blessed to have two such wonderful daughters and Kay to share my life with. I'm counting the days until your arrival and am so glad that I will be able to spend some time with you. I wasn't sure who Norah Jones was so I checked her out on Google, she sounds good but I'll try to send you back a good Willy Nelson C.D. for your pleasure when you go back. Love Tap

Dear Sister,

Hi! It's me, Skye Dog! Dad read your blog to us, and boy was I happy to hear from you. And somewhat jealous, I must admit. I mean, staring at dead spiders, eating lots of bread, going to the bathroom outside! Sounds like a heavenly life to me. Well, that's about it here. Like Dad said, he makes life boring for us here. Isn't that what he said? Hee, hee. We've had Jake here on his vacation. (Granma's dog) He's pretty good, doesn't eat too much or take all Ma's love. And he has that smile, you know. So we like him. I can't wait to see you. Be sure to wear black or navy blue pants so you can take some of me home with you, ha, ha. Jack and Jake say 'hey'! Love, Skye
