In South Africa

Well I've made it to S. Africa. It was a good plane ride. We got in last night at around 5 and then ate dinner at the hotel had a little meeting watched the sixth sense on TV and then attempted to go to sleep. I saw attempted because all I did was wiggle around in the bed for 5 hours! I finally fell asleep 15 minutes before I was supposed to get up! Oh well. We leave for Lusaka at around 11:00. It's a 2 hour plane ride and then we will stay at a retreat area for 2 nights. Then it's off to site visits so we can see what we are getting ourselves into!! We'll be at site for about 5 days and then we all come back together for training. I think? The hotel is Super nice!! It's a holiday inn in Johannesburgh at the airport but it is NICE!!! Well, I better run up and repack my carryon, we are heading to the airport soon. I love you all and will write again but proably not for a few weeks. Take care, victoria

Jet lag seems to have hit you full force. Hang in there. By the time you get to read this you will be over it and almost adjusted to your new circadium rhythm.
I love you

It is good to see you got to a computer so we could get your message. It seems like you will have a busy schedule for some time.
All I can see is Africa's gain is our loss. You are going to do fantastic. Love, Dad

I was so glad I was able to talk to you (although briefly) just before you left the states. It sounds like you'll be very busy for the next few weeks, but I'm sure you'll have lots of fun as well. I miss you already and wish you all the best. Love you.

It's been a week since you have been away. What wonderful things you must have seen and done by now. I hope that you are adjusting well to life in Zambia and I hope that you are able to get plenty of food that is good to you to eat. Wishing you lots of luck and wanting you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Rach

I've always heard S. Africa was a beautiful place andyou have verified that. Carrying that water on your head will keep the shoulders back, but don't putto much in it because it will get your spine out of line. Is your flashlight working. Make sure it is when you venture out at night. The Lord is gonna bless your comings and goings we know. Love u G
